Learn the world of video games through my guide!
Video games are a form of entertainment that involve a piece of technology (PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo, PC, Atari, SEGA, arcade machines etc.) that plays a game. They're used to play different types of games ranging from: first-person (DOOM, Wolfenstein, Call of Duty, Cyberpunk 2077 Halo, Mirror's Edge), third-person (Uncharted, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, GTA, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Ratchet and Clank), and 2D side scrolling games (Mario, Metroid, Sonic, Pac-Man, Super Smash Bros). All of these games fall in their own genres that can range from shooters, action-adventures,RPG, horror, puzzle, etc.
Video games have been around as early as 1950s and have only grown since then. With the different ways there are to play wheter its a home console, PC, handheld device, or VR, there's never a shortage of video games for these different mediums to play. Each game has their own story to tell or gameplay to experiment with that leaves the player with many ways to tackle how and what they play. Many games are very story driven while others focus heavily on gameplay with some video game stories being as big, compelling, and successful as big budget films.
Players can expect high levels of action where your running around, shooting, and dismembering your enemies while also having calm and peaceful moments where you can take in the sites or interact with characters. Every game has an audience and it's a matter of finding the right games for that audience. Video games ove time have become a respected form of entertainment that speaks for a wide range of people.
